What are the Career Fair Access Procedures?

You have been assigned a priority number based on the date and time that you registered for #OBAPCON2019. The earlier you registered, the lower your priority number will be. 

Priority numbers will be printed on the front of your convention badge. Badges are provided during check-in at the registration booth on the Lobby Level of the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel.  Registration will open for check-in Tuesday, July 30th from 5pm – 9pm, and from 7am – 6pm on Wednesday, July 31st and Thursday, August 1st, and from 7am - 2pm on Friday, August 2nd ( we will keep registration open on Friday, August 2nd from 2pm - 6pm for Gala ticket pick-up only).  Your Career Fair Registration is good for any or all three days.

When the Career Fair opens Wednesday, July 31st at 11:15 am, priority access numbers will be pushed out to attendees through the OBAP Mobile App, so if you haven’t done so already, please download the app and turn on notifications to receive updates.  Priority access numbers will be updated in real time. When your priority number appears, you may head to the Plaza Ballroom on the Lower Level to enter the Career Fair.

You will have an opportunity to experience the Aerospace Hiring Symposium, which will start at 7am on Wednesday, July 31st and 7am on Thursday, August 1st in International Ballroom A.  Many of the participating carriers will be providing presentations during these sessions prior to the opening of the Career Fair.  Additionally, please check the convention schedule at obap.org/convention, or on the mobile app to see all of the Professional Development Sessions that have been planned for you.  We have invited many of the industry's most experienced professionals to facilitate these workshops for your benefit.  Please plan to attend.

THE CAREER FAIR ENTRY PROCESS WILL REPEAT DAILY FOR ALL THREE DAYS.  

Where are participating companies and carriers in the Career Exposition shared? Participating companies and carriers are listed on the homepage and updated frequently.

How can I schedule an appointment at the Career Exposition? OBAP will not be scheduling appointments for the career exposition this year.  Registered attendees will be given a priority access number based on the date and time that you register for the event. It is advised to register early! More detailed information about the process will be sent to registered attendees closer to the event via email.

I just renewed my OBAP Membership, how long before I can register for the Convention at member rates? Please allow up to 48 hours for your member profile to be updated within the system in order to secure OBAP member rates during the event registration process. PLEASE NOTE: Attempting to register for the Convention and Career Exposition in advance of your OBAP member account being fully updated within the system will incur non-member rates. Non-members will not have access to the career fair.

What day can I use my Career Fair pass?  The Career Fair Pass is valid for all three days.

What is the attire for the Convention?  Business attire for all meetings and Black Tie for the Gala.

Do I need to sign up to speak to the recruiters?  No, most meetings with recruiters will be available as walk ups. More information to follow.

Will all of the carriers be in attendance all three days?  Yes. All recruiters will be in attendance all three days. 

I can't attend the event because my schedule changed, can I get a refund?  Registration Cancellation/Refund Policy:  Each refund less a $50 processing fee will be granted for cancellation requests received by 5:00pm CDT June 30, 2019.  Cancellation requests and requests to transfer registration from the original registrant’s name to a substitute attendee must be made by 5:00pm CDT June 30, 2019.  No refund or transfer requests will be accepted after 5:00pm CDT June 30, 2019.  Membership fees are non-refundable. To cancel or transfer your registration, please sign into your registration using your confirmation number, then select "Modify Registration."

What do I do when I arrive at the Convention?  Please go to the OBAP registration desk to pick up your badge and registration information.  Registration opens at 5pm on Tuesday, July 30th.

I am a student and would like to register for the convention at the student rate, how do I qualify?  The student registration is for full-time students of a college or university who are under the age of 23 and not gainfully employed (less than 40 hours per week). If you meet these requirements please complete the student registration form as instructed on the site.
