Each year OBAP implements a host of events to advance interest and excellence within the aerospace and aviation industries.

Professional development events, including the Spring Career Fair held in Las Vegas and the National Convention and Career Exposition, which circulates each August to a new city, engages more than 3,000 aviation professionals each year. 

Project Aerospace youth-focused events, including ACE Academies, reach more than 1,500 student participants each year and foster continued interest in pursuing training towards diverse careers in aviation.

OBAP has also established longstanding community partnerships to implement and support invaluable youth-related events throughout the country. Each year, in partnership with FedEx Express Air Operations, OBAP sends 100 youth to the National Flight Academy in Pensacola! NFA is one of the most immersive learning adventures in the world aboard the world's largest simulated aircraft carrier!

OBAP is piloting sUAS, or drone, training in Memphis, TN and Mobile, AL in partnership with Fly Robotics the leading resource for training in the field of small-unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS). This initiative is designed to ready young adults for the 100,000 new U.S. jobs estimated to be created by the year 2025.

Additionally, OBAP partners with Delta Air Lines to host more than 150 students, ages 14-18, aboard the airline’s annual Dream Flight from Atlanta to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
